Serious Classical Guitar Tutoring For Serious Students

Eric Hamilton is a former master-class student of Christopher Parkening (Andres Segovia prodigy), Roland Dyens, professor of the Paris Conservatory of Music, recording collaborator with composer Mason Williams (Classical Gas), and the Beijing Guitar Duo in a series of master-classes for his guitar majors. He is currently in his 11th year teaching guitar courses to the students of COVAH college-high school at Merritt College in Oakland CA. He has 14 full-length commercially available CDs, and performs regularly throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Eric Hamilton has been helping students of the classical guitar since 1976. With 40 years of fine-tuning methods for articulating information clearly and quickly, training is individualized, performance oriented, and geared toward Conservatory entry-level. Many times one lesson will yield enough information to keep a student busy for several weeks to a month. Never any obligation for future appointments, no weekly schedules unless requested, no package rates or fancy deals of the month, just straightforward, high level instruction.

Tutoring is private, in your home, and by appointment only or online via video conference. All teaching materials are supplied. Follow-up online consultation and clarification of information between appointments is part of the process and does not incur additional charges – this is only about the music and the musician attaining the highest potential possible.

Eric works well with adolescents and has many references available upon request
